Affiliate disclosure & editorial independence
Flashlight Hero is free to use. Some “Check price” links are affiliate links: if you click one and buy something, the store may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. That is how we keep the site running.
Rankings are never paid for
- No brand or store can pay to be included, to rank higher, or to be left out.
- Every guide is ranked by a single rule written at the top of the page (for example, maximum lumens or rated throw), applied the same way to every light, whether or not we earn a commission on it.
- Lights we earn nothing on are listed, compared and ranked exactly like the rest.
- We do not accept free products in exchange for coverage. If we ever review a light we were sent for free, we will say so on that page.
- Prices shown are the price we read on the store page on the date shown. We never invent or estimate a price; if we could not verify it, we leave it blank.
Who pays us
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. We also take part, or have applied to take part, in affiliate programs run by flashlight brands and retailers through networks such as Awin, AvantLink, Impact and ShareASale. Those stores pay a percentage of qualifying sales.
How we decide
Read exactly how sizes are drawn and how every guide is ranked on How we compare and rank.
